Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has said that he will live to regret being one of the politicians who formed the Jubilee alliance.
Speaking during his official welcoming to join NASA at the Bomas of Kenya, Ruto asked supporters of the opposition to forgive him for having combined forces with others to form an alliance that ended up polarizing this nation, adding that he is not ready to continue associating himself with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
“I am one of those who signed and started the coalition known as Jubilee and I am sorry. When we were forming that coalition, it was not our intention to tyrannise others with our numbers. I have also been tyrannised now. I cannot continue to associate myself or my supporters with that regime,” he said, as quoted by Nation.
On his part, Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga said that the party is not going to leave any stone unturned once they embark on campaigns meant to take them to state house in August.
“When we do hit the road, it will be a campaign like no other. We shall take no county or village for granted. We will go to each of the 47 counties,” said Odinga, who is also the former prime minister.
