The DP who spoke during a TV interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday, said he will not defend any person, adding that loss money meant to help Kenyans can never be protected.

"We have not defended anybody and we have not said they should not be prosecuted. When NYS was investigated and evidence was found, we did not defend anybody," he said.

"When it comes to public money we are clear, if you are part of the looting of the funds we will never defend you," he added.

Reacting to the allegations that his personal assistant, Farouk Kibet, was involved in the pilfering of the NYS monies, Ruto said he was ready to disown him in the event he is found guilty just as they did with former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.

"It bothers me that my aide is mentioned, but if Farouk Kibet is mentioned or any other person is found culpable, the same thing that was done to Waiguru will be done," he said.

"Once the process is done by the relevant bodies and Kibet is found guilty we will deal with it at that point we are not defending anybody," he noted.
