Speaking during a prize giving day at Manyatta Primary School in Bomet Central sub-county, the vocal governor instead hit out at deputy president William Ruto for discrediting him.

He argued the DP convened meetings at his Sugoi home during the December holidays to attack him.

“I am not opposed to any project being started by the National government in the county or anywhere in the country as has been claimed since it is for the benefit of Kenyans but it is unfortunate that the DP invited area leaders and residents for Christmas and New Year celebrations to criticise me,” he said.

He further denied claims by some Members of Parliament that he had moved to court seeking orders to stop the release of funds meant for infrastructure development in the area.
