Deputy President William Ruto is in charge of the nation after President Uhuru Kenyatta left the country for India on Monday.
Uhuru will be in the Asian country on a 2-day state visit.
He is scheduled to attend the inauguration of the 8th chapter of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017, as a Guest of Honor.
He is expected to drum up enough support for Kenya as a key destination for Indian investment especially in the Healthcare sector.
He will hold bilateral meetings with Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Tata (largest manufacturer of Indian Automotive Industry) as well as Infosys (world leader in Technology Services & Consulting).
Among others who saw the president off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport were his deputy Ruto, Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery, Chief of Defence Forces Gen Samson Mwathethe, senators Mike Sonko (Nairobi) and KipchuMba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet).
