[Photo|DPPS]Deputy President William Ruto is today (Saturday), set for a meeting at his Sugoi Home, in Uasin Gishu County.Ruto, the Jubilee Party deputy leader, is scheduled to meet leaders from the larger Western Kenya region, who joined the ruling party, ahead of the October presidential election.Given that the region is perceived an Opposition support zone, Ruto seeks to reap from the area, with help of the leaders, especially after those who had aligned to NASA before the August 8, general election, lost and jumped ship.They include former Vihiga County Governor Moses Akaranga, former Funyula MP Dr Paul Otuoma, former presidential candidate and Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, among others.The meeting comes after Ruto met Jubilee leaders in Busia, including former Budalangi MP Ababu Namuamba, Otuoma and Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, September 18.
