A livid Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa fired a series of brutal salvos at veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga, telling him that Ruto was not his wife.

His strongly-worded remarks were a direct response to Mr Odinga's thinly-veiled attack on Ruto to stop moving around the country to ask for votes.

"The only person who has the right to ask you where you are going is Mama Rachael. Ruto is not Odinga's wife. When he says you are moving around the country, move more," Ichungwa seethed.

Odinga had said that the Tangatanga Movement was a premature political outfit, and exhorted its exponents to work as the time for 2022 presidential politics would come.

His remarks, as evidenced by Ichungwa's knife-twisting, have not sat well with a section of Jubilee politicians.

The politicians contend that Mr Odinga is keen on wrecking the governing Jubilee Party and have warned that they will resist his 'divisive antics'.

The spat has sparked fears that the progress made by the dramatic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga may be in jeopardy.

Ichungwa spoke over the weekend in Kiambu at a PCEA church.
