Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has sensationally claimed Jubilee government bungled 2013 elections by allowing dead voters to ‘vote’.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga lost narrowly to President Uhuru Kenyatta before the duo meeting in Supreme Court where the court ruled in favour of government.
Speaking on Friday in Kajiado, Ruto said over 2M anonymous people voted for only presidential candidate despite having many elective posts.
“Jubilee never won fairly in 2013 and that is a bitter fact. That is why they are panicking that the margin could be even bigger next year,” he said.
Ruto added: “At least 2 million dead people voted because it is unrealistic that such a number can vote a presidential candidate and ignore other posts. They stole elections and they are planning to repeat the same.”
The Bomet governor has been embroiled in a tussle with Jubilee leadership and has occasionally accused Deputy President William Ruto of allegedly meddling in affairs of his county.
