Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has stepped up a campaign to counter the recent visits by President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee brigade in the county.
While addressing a rally at Chemaner, the Chama Cha Mashinani party leader said the residents have nothing celebrate from the Jubilee leaders tour to the area.
This is after President Kenyatta failed to commission the official tarmacking of Chemaner-Tegat-Longisa-Kipreres road as was hugely expected.
“It was meant to blindfold locals into believing Jubilee was here with development goodies but it emerged that they were only interested in votes and we are going to say no,” Ruto said, asking locals to shun Jubilee.
