Research firm Infotrak says Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto and National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso are neck-to-neck in the race for the governor seat.
According to the firm, Governor Ruto would get 39 per cent of votes cast while his competitor, Laboso, would attain 38 per cent – in the August general election.
Infotrak further says Ruto’s Chama Cha Mashinani is still struggling to catch up with Jubilee’s Deputy President Wiliam Ruto.
CCM has a popularity of 12 per cent, while Jubilee commands 74 per cent, according to the pollster.
In the Bomet senatorial race, Infotrak results indicate that Kanu secretary general Nick Salat would attain 13 per cent of votes while Wilfred Lesan would attain 24 per cent.
In Meru, 31 per cent of those interviewed said they will re-elect Governor Peter Munya, while 29 per cent said they will vote for Senator Kiraitu Murungi.
