DP Ruto's views appear to be ruffling feathers. [Photo/twitter]

Following an announcement by National Super Alliance (NASA) to its supporters to boycott services and products from Safaricom, Bidco and Brookside, Deputy President William Ruto tweeted his view.

NASA, currently transforming to National Resistance Movement (NRM) on November 3 made the announcement, giving its supporters a one week grace period before they completely quit using products from the said companies.

DP Ruto said that the boycott exercise was a plot of extortion by NRM as a means of looking for funds.

This tweet did not sit well with NASA leader Raila Odinga’s private secretary Dennis Onyango.

He chose to use the fact that the DP has been mentioned in many land grabbing cases and used it against him.

Mr. Onyango on his Facebook account reprimanded Ruto saying that NASA had not urged Kenyans to boycott land grabbing as it was not an economic activity.

Here is Onyango’s post;

"Why is a man in land grabbing business complaining about NASA economic boycott? Land grabbing is not really a business. It is not an industry either. It is a criminal activity and we chose not to go after it. Grabbers are therefore free to continue with their criminal enterprises for now."
