Deputy President William Ruto has termed the late Nyeri governor Nderitu Gachagua, as an astute politician who made significant contribution to his constituents and the nation.
Ruto mourned Gachagua, following his demise, February 24 at a London hospital.
He wished the bereaved family and Nyeri residents well, saying they had lost an able dedicated servant.
‘’Condolences to the family and friends of Governor Nderitu Gachagua. The people of Nyeri have lost an able and dedicated servant. He was an astute politician who made significant contribution to his constituents and the nation,’’ Ruto said in his condolence message.
He noted the late Gachagua was a steadfast defender of interests of coffee farmers and championed reforms in the sector.
‘’May his soul Rest In Peace,’’ he added.
