Deputy President William Ruto has urged Rift Valley leaders to put aside their political differences and address challenges facing residents.

He made the appeal after meeting Jubilee elected leaders from the Rift Valley in his Karen home on Friday.

During the meeting, they discussed the development and regional politics.

He also met leaders from Murang’a county.

The leaders called to the meeting are expected to play a major role in Ruto’s 2022 plan should Jubilee’s win in this year’s election be upheld by the Supreme Court.

Those present at the meeting include senators-elect Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet), Kiprotich Cherargei (Nandi) and Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho) and Cherangany MP-elect Joshua Kutuny (Trans Nzoia county).
