Deputy President William Ruto has reiterated Jubilee government's commitment of ensuring that every class one child is in possession of a laptop. He said over 17,000 schools across the country have been supplied with the digital learning devices. "We have distributed 992,073 devices to primary schools across the country and trained 95,000 teachers to assist student on the program," he said during the ground breaking ceremony for the Africa Economic Zones (AEZ) Pearl River Industrial Park, Eldoret, Friday.“We will continue supporting the digital learning programme until all the 23,951 public primary schools are supplied with the devices," added Ruto He however, said that the digital content for class one and two has already been developed and pupils are accessing it through the laptops. "We have also set up Moi and Jomo Kenyatta university of Agriculture assembling plants to produce more devices," noted Ruto.
