Deputy President William Ruto has retaliated that the opposition is confused and not ready to take on Jubilee in the polls slated for August this year.

Speaking in Mumias on Monday, Ruto accused the opposition of lacking a flag bearer as opposed to Jubilee who have settled on President Uhuru Kenyatta as their candidate.

“In Jubilee, we have President Uhuru Kenyatta as our flag bearer. We have Jubilee Party as our vehicle to the elections. But those in the opposition have not agreed on whether it will be Raila, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper, Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula or Amani's Musalia Mudavadi," Ruto said as quoted by The Star.

He added that the opposition was applying delay tactics to get the elections postponed, a move Ruto swore will not be allowed to happen.

“But I want to assure them that come rain or shine, we shall hold elections as stipulated in the constitution,” he said
