Addressing residents in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, the DP said Jubilee's development record had transformed the region into a Jubilee zone challenging the opposition to show what they have done to change the lives of Coast residents.

“Our development record at the Coast has transformed the region into a Jubilee zone. I want residents to challenge CORD to explain its development agenda because it has none. It is using lies and empty rhetoric,” said Ruto, as quoted by the Standard.

Ruto cited projects initiated in the region by the Uhuru Kenyatta-led administration, and promised to initiate even more projects.

“Jubilee will tarmac more than 200km in Kilifi County alone. We have also supplied modern equipment to Malindi and Kilifi hospitals at a cost of Sh800 million and supplied electricity to more than 102,000 people,” Ruto noted.

On drug trafficking, Ruto insisted that drug barons will not have space to operate, as they were destroying the lives of youth in the country.

“Drug lords should move out of Kenya because there is no place to hide. They will all be rounded up and prosecuted because Jubilee will not tolerant them. They have destroyed hundreds of our youth with narcotics. They are now in hot soup and should better close shop,” he said.
