Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has stated the conditions under which his Mashinani Party will join either the Jubilee or NASA blocks.

Speaking during an interview with NTV on Friday, the leader said that his party will join any side provided that it has the interests of Kenyans at heart and is willing to channel more funds to the counties.

''We are ready to engage with any other Kenyans and parties provided that they mean well for the people. We want a leadership that considers people from the rural areas and a government that will consider them by allowing more money into the counties for rural development. These people constitute the majority of the Kenyan population,'' said Ruto.

The outspoken leader, however said that there are very slim chances of his party joining the ruling Jubilee Party citing poor relationship between him and the party.

''Joining Jubilee is not on the table for us in the meantime, we have no communication channels with them. We need to put to an end the zoning of areas and linking them to political parties and tribal leaders," he added.

He was speaking ahead of the NASA rally in Bomet county.
