Deputy President William Ruto has expressed the urge to support the education sector in the country, to make the young generation better job creators in future.

Speaking in Thika Girls High School on Friday when he officially opened the institution, Ruto said that the country’s education is affected by some eligible people, who should know that education is everything and that it will bear fruits in future for the youth.

He said that the fee structure of the new Thika School will be an example of what other schools’ students should pay, and that stern action will be taken towards the head teachers who raise their fee structure.

He however called on all the area leaders to support the education of their constituents, as everyone is running back to school despite the age, saying that it will benefit them in their future.

Ruto in support of the same, gave out Sh1.5 million to the Thika Girls administration, funds meant to help finish on the remaining CDF projects in the school, which had been commenced by area MP Alice Ng’ang’a.

He said that after the completion of the ongoing laboratory in the school, he will supply them with equipment to ensure they get quality practical education, and also expose them to the digital world where everyone is heading to.

He added that the institution will be prioritized in his plans to sponsor some best students, considering the area legislator has sponsored the best students from the area and he wishes to support her efforts towards the sector in the area.

Ruto was accompanied by the National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale, Othaya MP Mary Wambui, and Gatundu North MP Kigo Njenga.
