Deputy President William Ruto has urged members of the clergy to pray for the oppositionCord to engage the government in healthy issues that can lead to development and improvement of lives.
He regretted that most of the agenda being initiated by the coalition are of either little or no use at all to Kenyans and only meant to taint the image of Jubilee.
Ruto said that prayers from the religious leaders could play some role in the improvement of the type of politics being practiced by the opposition leaders.
Speaking at a fundraiser in Moi gardens in Kericho on Sunday, the DP further accused the opposition of returning the nation to the dark political days when politics was for the benefit of politicians.
''Currently, what we need are partners who can contribute towards making right decisions towards development and not dragging us back to the past politics with no good agenda for the nation," said Ruto.
The DP was accompanied by area Governor Paul Chepkwony and Senator Aaron Cheruiyot.
