Deputy President has called on the church to pray for the opposition.

This is after NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga said that once he assumes power, he will legalize traditional brews like chang'aa and busaa.

According to the DP, the country is facing  a serious problem in containing alcohol and drug abuse and efforts to legalize traditional brews will make the matter worse.

“We already have a serious problem with alcoholism and drug abuse. It will be a step in, the wrong direction to legalise changaa and busaa. Let’s join forces in dealing with this menace. Pray for the opposition, which intends to legalise illicit brews, to have a change of heart over this matter,” he said.

He was speaking in Nyandarua on Sunday during an exercise to issue IDPs with cheques.

He further called on Kenyans to maintain peace during the electioneering period.
