Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has said he will not sabotage the work of his successor, Joyce Laboso.

Ruto, who has been away from the public said he will support Governor Laboso to ensure Bomet residents’ lives improve.

He was speaking on Saturday during a prize giving day for best performers at Chelsea Academy.

Ruto promised to assist the new administration in discharging its mandate and ensuring that Bomet becomes a better place.

“I wish to state here in broad daylight that I will not sabotage your administration in any way. Rest assured that I will offer you my support whenever and wherever I can in rolling out development agenda to benefit the people of Bomet County,” he said.

Ruto was floored by Laboso in the August 8 general election.

The former governor has since declared support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Before the polls, he supported Raila Odinga’s bid for president.
