Siaya Senator James Orengo has indicated that Bomet governor and Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) leader Isaac Ruto qualifies as a co-principal in the Nasa coalition and can also be named flag-bearer.
Speaking during an interview to an NTV reporter at the Bomas of Kenya, Thursday, Orengo stated that Ruto joins Nasa's leadership summit and will engage himself in the flag-bearer talks.
"Ruto joins Nasa with the qualities of a leader and hence joins Nasa's leadership summit. He joins as a co-principal who will engage in flag-bearer talks with the other principals," said Orengo.
According to Orengo, Ruto is a champion of the devolution system in the country and has opted to join a political camp that is going to safeguard the system.
"Ruto has been fighting for the betterment of devolution in the country and he has decided to join NASA which has been fighting for the safeguarding of devolution," added Orengo.
