Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed claims by opposition leader Raila Odinga that Jubilee government rigged 2013 elections.
On Sunday, Odinga insisted that the government collaborated with Jubilee team to add additional 2 million non-existence votes on presidential elections.
And on Monday, Ruto insisted Jubilee beat opposition squarely and predicted a repeat in 2017 elections.
“I hear him (Raila) saying that we stole 2 million votes yet we were not even in government. Jubilee won fairly and squarely and it is disappointing that he keeps on lamenting,” he said.
“We are ready to repeat the same in 2017 if he was not satisfied with our victory. He has never accepted losing elections and the trend is likely to continue,” added Ruto.
Odinga has been critical of the electoral body IEBC and was on the frontline pushing for its removal from office, a plan which has since succeeded.
