Deputy President William Ruto has warned that the Jubilee government will not accept any ill plans by the National Super Alliance (Nasa).

Ruto said the Jubilee Party was aware that the Raila Odinga-led alliance was planning to interfere with the August 8, elections, after it launched ballot tender attacks on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Nasa linked Uhuru's family and the Jubilee government to the tender, saying it influenced that the tender be issued to the Dubai-based Al Ghurai Printing and Publishing Company.

However, according to Ruto, this is a plot by Nasa, to demand for negotiations for a grand coalition government, or extend the elections date.

He said that Jubilee government would never accept to negotiate on such things.

"There are two things that we will never be part of. We can not negotiate on having a grand coalition government, or postponing the August 8 elections. We know they (Nasa) want this. They have been attacking IEBC with intentions of destabilising it to postpone elections. That will not happen. We will also not have a 'nusu mkate' (coalition) government," Ruto said, during a tour of Kericho, Thursday.

The DP was accompanied by President Uhuru Kenyatta, alongside other Jubilee Party leaders. They condemned the Opposition, saying their tricks would not work.

Ruto's sentiments were echoed by Kenyatta.
