Deputy President William Ruto now says that regions that previously voted for the opposition are now supporting the government.
Ruto claimed that regions that backed Cord leader Raila Odinga in 2013 polls will vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 elections because Jubilee has transformed the country through the many development projects it has undertaken.
Speaking in Endebes Constituency in Trans Nzoia, Ruto said Jubilee had increased its support in Opposition strongholds, an indication that voters were believing in its ideologies.
“You people of Trans Nzoia have seen what we have done as government. Don’t be swayed by the Opposition’s propaganda,” he said.
While highlighting various development projects the government has initiated in the area, Ruto dismissed as 'unfounded' allegations by the opposition leaders that the Jubilee administrationhad done little to transform the lives of Kenyans.
"Jubilee government has an impressive development record unlike the opposition leaders who are only good at generating propaganda and holding demonstrations that do not serve the people of Kenya," said Ruto.
The DP also addressed rallies in Kiminini, Cherangany, Kitalale and Kitale town where he mobilised residents to register as voters and urged them to back Jubilee in the next elections.
