Deputy President William Ruto has revealed why he accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta on his campaign trail in Bungoma.

Ruto said he went to Bungoma to prove it is not an Opposition zone.

"We are here today to tell them this is Kenya and we will prove them wrong in the August 8 elections," Ruto said.

He castigated NASA chiefs for zoning the country along tribal lines saying Jubilee is an all-inclusive government.

Ruto asked residents not to fall for the trap of voting for perennial losers as their region needs emancipation from 'bad politics'.

He ntoed Naitiri hospital once faced challenges but the Jubilee administration moved in and installed modern medical equipment.

The DP affirmed the Jubilee government’s stand that divisive and tribal politics has no place in modern Kenya.

Leaders present included the National Assembly's Aden Duale, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, Labour party chief and Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba, Sirisia MP John Waluke and Bungoma woman representative Reginalda Wanyonyi.
