Deputy President William Ruto helped farmers raise Sh6 million from selling their chicken.
While launching a poultry auction on Saturday at the Kambi kuku in Kamagut, Uasin Gishu, the DP helped farmers sell up to 5000 chicken.
Each chicken was selling at Sh1200 hence raising a cool Sh6 million.
Ruto said he decided to launch the auction in the area, where he earned the name ‘hustler’ after selling chicken to make the ends meet, as a gesture to boost poultry business among youth and women groups in the area.
