Speaking during a tour of Nyeri county Friday, the DP hailed the government saying that it has an outstanding list of achievements since it came to power after the 2013 elections.

He observed that under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and himself, the nation can now boast of some mega development projects that have bettered Kenyans' lives.

''We are a working government and that is the reason why our development record and achievements are clearly visible,'' said Ruto.

''We have constructed roads, a railway, and other mega projects and have bigger plans for the nation,'' he added.

On matters politics, Ruto urged leaders to drop politicking and stop their prolonged political wrangles telling them to instead concentrate on serving Kenyans.

He urged politicians to instead prepare for the 2022 general elections.

He also called for national unity ahead of the contest.

''Gone are the 2017 elections. Now we have to concentrate on 2022. However, all our effort will be wasted if we do not approach the elections as a united nation.

The tour also saw him commission the construction of several roads including the Kiawara-Nairutia and the Karai-Babito roads.
