Ruto, who had visited Tetu in Nyeri on Friday to console the family of Dr Joseph Kinyua, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service after they lost their mother Hannah Wanjiru Matong’e, said the Jubilee government is working hard to bring all the communities together for a peaceful nation.

"I call on all leaders, whether in Jubilee or the opposition, to work towards uniting Kenyans. We need a peaceful Kenya more than anything else," he said.

At the same time, he asked the Opposition to shun 'destructive' politics saying they will drag the economy of the country.

The DP spoke before heading to Kirinyaga to launch a tea factory in Gichugu.

He said President Uhuru Kenyatta will attend Kinyua’s mother burial at the Wamagana Stadium.
