Nakuru County Deputy Governor Joseph Ruto has appealed to the county residents to stay away from leaders who spread propaganda about the county government.

The Deputy governor alleged that some leaders are keen on tarnishing the image of the government based on propaganda.

Ruto said that the county government is aware of the propaganda being spread by some leaders saying that they will not be moved by such cheap politics based on dividing and causing tension among Nakuru residents.

“We are aware of the people spreading rumours about our government, therefore this will not move us an inch,” said Ruto.

He asked the residents to rally behind Governor Kinuthia Mbugua saying that both of them aim at promoting development in the area.

Ruto also said that the county government is focusing on addressing challenges facing locals and will not be moved by cheap politics aimed at gaining self political mileage.

He however called on county leaders to take part in development and help boost the living standards of the Nakuru people.

Ruto who was speaking at the Keroche Brewery in Naivasha, assured that the county will remain united.
