Deputy President William Ruto has told Pastoralist communities that Kenya is on the move and that they must keep pace with it.Ruto said that the rampant cases of banditry were backward and retrogressive.He spoke at Kimalel during a cattle auction.''The country is moving and you must move with it. Kenya is not going to wait for anyone. People must wake up and change. The stealing of cows that has been happening in this area belongs to a bygone era. This is a new Kenya. Embrace education by taking your children to schools so that they can amount to something and contribute to our country's development.'' He said.Ruto pledged that the Jubilee government was willing to work with leaders from pastoralist regions to transform their communities moving forward.
