The outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto is expected to announce his next political move on Tuesday.
This is after he lost the county’s top seat to Jubilee’s Loyce Laboso in the August 8 polls.
Speaking on Sunday when he met his predecessor at the county’s headquarters in Bomet, Ruto refuted claims that he had fell sick after he failed to show up in public after the elections.
The governor told his supporters he will tell them his next move after he hands over power to Laboso, Tuesday, August 22.
"As you can see I am healthy and even relaxed. I will hand over power and thereafter relax and let my supporters know of my next move," said Ruto.
The National Super Alliance (Nasa) principal further noted swearing in ceremony of Laboso will be a historic. He urged Bomet residents not to politicise the event.
"We want to call upon the people of Bomet to understand that this is an occasion for everyone, it is a national event just like Madaraka Day and so no one should come with that partisan mind where you start heckling others," he added.
On her part, the Jubilee governor elect welcomed everyone for her inauguration ceremony adding that the function will be joyous.
