Deputy President William Ruto has been invited to campaign in Western region again less than a month after youth disrupted his rally in Bungoma.

A group of women backing Jubilee in the region said the DP has massive following and would be happy to host him again.

Ruto, during his tour of Bungoma was compelled to change his travel route and canceled a rally after youth barricaded one of the roads he was meant to use.

Speaking on behalf of the Women, Jubilee Bungoma League leader Rose Natecho said they have plans to welcome DP Ruto to address rallies in different parts of the county.

"We want to show the entire country that Jubilee Party is very strong in Bungoma but that some politicians trying to make it look like an opposition stronghold," she said, as quoted by the Star.

She added that Jubilee leaders from the region have been working around the clock to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto get massive support as they seek to retain power in August.
