Last week, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu sensationally claimed that Ruto is unwilling to account for his wealth, thus causing heated debate between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the DP's camps.

"Someone like Oscar Sudi cannot speak on his own. He is speaking for someone and we know him. That person is not ready for audit," said Ngunjiri in reference to Ruto.

Already, a defiant Uhuru has insisted on lifestyle audit adding that it will enable the country fight against graft.

But at the coast on Wednesday, the DP said he is available for audit, insisting that he has never objected to the call.

"I want to tell teachers that I am ready for lifestyle audit. I have never feared it and I will be the first one to be scrutinised. Ignore those rumour mongers out there," he said.

Further, Ruto seemed to blame unnamed individuals whom he accused of maligning his name for political benefits.

Some of his allies led by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei have warned that they will be forced to bite back of Uhuru does not 'tame' his men.
