Ruto assured residents that the Jubilee government is dedicated to development in the country.

The call resonated with leaders from the region who said they were willing to hop onto the Jubilee vehicle come 2017.

The deputy president kicked off his tour on Friday where he distributed more than 1,000 title deeds to Kilifi County residents.

He further announced that the government had set aside 46 million shillings to the Last Mile project, aimed at connecting households in Likoni to electricity.

On his part, Kilifi North MP Philip Mung'aro urged the residents not to be swayed and intimidated to join any political outfit other than that which serves their interests.

Ruto was accompanied by National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale, Mining Cabinet Secretary Dan Kazungu and other Coastal MPs.

Raila Odinga who is also on a four-day tour of the region to popularise his party will be facing a hard time following Jubilee party's inroads at the Coast.
