Deputy President William Ruto has been advised against his close ally and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
Speaking on Radio Jambo Saturday, Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa enlisted Murkomen among the leaders gradually killing Ruto's presidential ambition in the coming 2022 general polls.
He accused the Senate Majority Leader of reckless talk, noting that his loose tongue should not be tolerated anywhere near national leadership.
"Kenya needs tender and well composed leaders. The Deputy President should be extra careful with his ally Kipchumba Murkomen whose loose tongue is soiling his name and reducing his winning chances," he said.
He took issue with Murkomen's regular attacks on retired President Daniel Arap Moi's family, with the leader repeatedly hitting out at Moi's son and Baringo county Senator Gideon Moi over his political rivalry with Ruto.
Murkomen was also recently quoted mocking the recent handshake pitting Moi and opposition leader Raila Odinga, with Aladwa now calling for sobriety in his quarters.
"There is need to handle issues in a better way and not through mockery and rude talk. He should stop downplaying other leaders as he might find himself needing the same people's support at some point in his political profession," he added.
