Deputy President William Ruto has been warned over the ongoing political activities, especially the recent reconciliation between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
According to former Subukia lawmaker Koigi wa Wamwere, the outcome of the truce is likely to negatively impact on Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, citing Odinga's inclusion in the concluded Fifth Devolution Conference in Kakamega.
Odinga was on Wednesday given a platform to address the conference before Ruto presided over its conclusion on Thursday.
Koigi warned over possible inclusion of Odinga in government and leadership affairs, a move that could 'work against Ruto'.
''Ruto should be very worried of Raila's truce with President and his inclusion in government affairs as this might be a plan to paralyze his 2022 bid. It is most likely a conspiracy to replace him with Odinga to sabotage his 2022 candidature,'' Wamwere said.
