The government will not give room to politicians who want to preach hate among Kenyans and destabilise government activities, Deputy President William Ruto has warned.
The DP said that they will not allow politicians with ill motives to distract the government from performing its functions.
Speaking at St Veronicah High School in Nakuru East on Sunday, Ruto lashed out at some politicians who he said are working day and night to ensure the government fails in its duties.
“We want to tell our distractors that we will not give them room to hinder our national duties. Some politicians are using political witch-hunts and games to ensure the state fails,” he said.
Ruto added that the government is focused on uniting the country and fulfilling the pledges it made to the people during the 2013 elections.
He urged Kenyans to ignore political side shows being played by those who were defeated in the 2013 polls.
The DP indicated that the government is committed to ensure every Kenyan has access to quality services.
He asked politicians to work with both the national and the county governments to spearhead development and make devolution a reality.
