Deputy President William Ruto has asked Kenyans to support the Jubilee administration as it strives to transform the lives of Kenyans across the country.
Speaking at Loima, Turkana County during a rally to mobilise residents to register to vote in the August 8 general election, Ruto asked Kenyans to back Jubilee because of its commitment to unity and development.
"Our aim is to ensure every Kenyan feels the impact of development. Our administration is focused on providing high-quality services to all Kenyans, irrespective of their political affiliations," he said.
The DP inspected the Lorugum- Lorengippi Road saying its completion will advance the interest of locals.
He urged Turkana residents to join Jubilee Party saying the ruling coalition is the only party that has Kenyans’ interest at heart.
"We are increasing the number of kilometres of roads reaching marginalised areas.
The government is also aiding pastoralists by providing water, destocking and distributing food to alleviate the effects of the current dry spell. We will not stop until we tackle all the challenges facing Kenyans," he noted.
Ruto also cautioned political leaders against regional zoning, saying it has retarded development in some parts of the country. He said marking zones as the political turfs of specific leaders, parties or ethnic groupings has led to underdevelopment in some regions.
