Ruto said Opposition leaders Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetangula (Ford-Kenya) and their counterpart Amani's Musalia Mudavadi were only obsessed with empty rhetoric aimed at tarnishing Jubilee's reputation.

Addressing residents of Enkorio Nito, Narok County on Tuesday, Ruto said NASA leaders had nothing to show in terms of development for the decades they had served in government.

“Our competitors have been criticising our development projects and yet they have nothing to show in terms of development for the years they served in previous governments,” he said.

The DP cautioned members of the Maasai community against voting for the Opposition in the August general elections, saying it has nothing new to offer Kenyans.

"They have failed you for more than 20 years they have been in government. They have not delivered to Kenyans in the past. What they will offer Kenyans when they are elected to office in the coming elections" Ruto posed.

Citing various development projects that Jubilee regime has completed in the county, the DP urged locals to take the voter's cards and ensure they participate in the electoral process to re-elect Jubilee administration.

"Register and support the government. By so doing, you will get good roads, health and education facilities. In Narok alone, we have 100,000 people without voters' cards. Those people are in your midst, they are your friends, brothers, neighbours. Encourage them to get listed," said Ruto as quoted by The Standard.

The Deputy President was accompanied by Narok Governor Samuel Tunai, his deputy Evelyn Aruasa, MPs Ken Aramat (Narok East), Soipan Tuya (Women’s Rep) and.various Jubilee aspirants including Lydia Ntimama, daughter of former minister William Ntimama.
