Veteran politician Orie Rogo Manduli has poured cold water on Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
The former Miss Kenya had her own reasons why she thought Ruto is not the man for the top officer.
"Who is Ruto? He will never be president. He can get it from me. The deputy president has been busy on a self-development mission and all of a sudden he wants to be president? He is feeling insecure," Manduli said while appearing on Citizen TV's JKL talk show on Wednesday, May 23.
Although she did not have kind words for Ruto, Orie Rogo vowed she will vote for opposition leader Raila Odinga if he vies again in 2022.
Manduli commended the former prime minister for agreeing to put aside his political differences with President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of peace and unity in the country.
"The handshake is the best thing that the president and Raila did. They brought peace, tranquility and common sense," she said.
The political temperature has been high since the handshake between the two leaders, with concerns that the handshake was a political ploy to stop Ruto from becoming president.
The president and even Raila have clearly stated their peace agreement has nothing to do with 2022 when Ruto will contest for the presidency.
