Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto now claims police in Bomet are getting instructions from the government to harass those against Jubilee.
The governor said that one had put on Jubilee regalia to be safe in the county.
"You have to put on Jubilee regalia if you want the police to have peace with you in Bomet," he said while at Nairobi Hospital.
The Bomet governor linked Deputy President William Ruto to his alleged attack by the police, saying instructions come direct from the DP's office.
"The real challenge is that the police are acting on behalf of the government. The instructions are coming directly from the DPs office through the county commissioner," Ruto added.
Ruto said he had reported the matter to Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery, but no action has been taken.
"I have had time to raise this with Nkaissery but nothing has been done," he said.
