Deputy President William Ruto expressed optimism that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) stalemate will come to an end in at least the next three days. Speaking at the Salvation Army Church in Turbo Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, Ruto said the IEBC issue will be sorted out.
“I am optimistic that the few sticky issues on the IEBC will be sorted out in the next few days to give way for dialogue so that if there is any problem with the electoral body, we solve it for once," he said.
Ruto however maintained that the talks will take place under constitutional guidelines.
The opposition coalition has since called off the weekly demonstrations saying that some 'white smoke' has finally appeared.
