The Jubilee victory in the 2017 elections are as labor pains to DP elect William Ruto. It has been a sweaty race in a rough terrain only scaled by political warriors like William Ruto. The baby is around and brings about jubilations and flatter.
However, exemplary parenting of the baby who will mature in the next 5 years will be a responsibility of DP Ruto than President Uhuru Kenyatta. A government that will replicate the last Jubilee rule will be lethal to Ruto’s 2022 Presidency.
As President Uhuru retires from active politics in 2022, DP Ruto will be beginning his fight for the most coveted office in our land.
If the president decides to reward his campaigners and supporters then William Ruto will be the historical loser. If ministries will be awarded based on voting patterns while someone’s name will betray him/her while applying government jobs and tenders then Ruto might wait longer to occupy the presidency.
It is going to be Ruto’s number one responsibility to ensure that Jubilee honors its campaign pledges. The impartial development, political injustices and constant attacks on ODM leader Raila Odinga must be addressed for the sake of his political future.
