The chairperson of Kenya International Convention Center Board James Omingo Magara has said that he has confidence that the case against Deputy President William Ruto and former radio presenter Joshua arap Sang will come to an end.
Magara, who was speaking at Gusii stadium, said the recent ruling in which the ICC judges rejected the use of recanted evidence was a big win to the deputy president.
“We are happy about the ruling of the judges of rejecting the use of recanted evidence and we know that the truth will come out and our brothers will be free,’’ said Magara.
Magara also said that being former treasurer of ODM, he did not give Ruto any money as one way of funding him during the 2007/2008.
“As a former treasurer of ODM, there is not even a single moment I gave Ruto some money in terms of funding him during the violence. Hence my brother remains innocent until proven guilty,” said Magara.
The deputy president thanked the Kisii community for praying for him regarding the ICC case.
