Deputy President William Ruto has once again rubbished plans by the Opposition, NASA on swearing in their leaders.
The NASA coalition has insisted that their window of opportunity to dialogue with the government is over, and they will go on with plans to swear-in Odinga.
Speaking on Sunday during a church service, Ruto said their immediate focus was to create jobs as promised during the campaigns.
“We have had like a year to decide who is the president, the governor, MP, and all that. We now focus on millions of Kenyans having employment, ensure there is food security, housing and all that,” he said.
According to Ruto, the decision on the nation’s leader has already been made, and that window to politics shut close.
The opposition had given the government an ultimatum to dialogue, with their time elapsing and the swearing-in plans looking imminent.
“I want to call on all Kenyans to help us deliver on all our promises. We have closed all chapters on politics, and we urge our brothers to also do the same,” he went on. NASA plans on swearing-in Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the people’s president and deputy respectively, in an event planned for Tuesday, January 30th.
