[Photo/IsaackRutoGAVA]Days after being ousted from the county's top job, former Bomet governor and the National Super Alliance (Nasa) principal Isaac Ruto is weighing options of what to do next with his life.Ruto was defeated by the former Sotik Member of Parliament Joyce Laboso, who won on a Jubilee party ticket in the August 8 general election. After the 'humiliating' defeat, the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader has hinted on doing some 'odd' jobs.Speaking in Bomet on Tuesday during the swearing-in-ceremony of Laboso, Ruto said he could be a matatu driver or opt to start milking cows since he is now free.“Amuche aketat matatu ana ayage tuga...kong’eten ngunon amu mamiten kasit (I can be a matatu driver or start milking cows from today since I’m free now),” he said in Kalenjin as quoted by Standard. “But when you see me passing around, don’t fail to say hi. From now on, it’s time to build this county and make it more prosperous," he added. The former governor also refuted claims that he was sick after he failed to show up in public after the elections. “I was shocked to see some people sharing photos of me getting blood transfusion following the defeat; which is not true. I was at a function to open a hospital sometime back and decided to get a check-up. I don’t know how the photo got there and in that perspective,” the daily further quotes him.“I saw others sharing edited photo of me milking in a cowshed. That was hilarious," added Ruto amidst laughter from the crowd.
