Deputy President William Ruto. [Photo Caption/the Star]A bitter rift has emerged between pastors and the leadership of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) church in Vihiga shortly after deputy president William Ruto visited the church headquarters in Nyangori on Thursday. The Saturday Nation reports.According to the pastors, the church's leadership invited them for a pastor's conference and not a political forum as they had been subjected to following the DP's visit.Through Rev Felix Amuyunzu and Rev Peter Omondi, the pastors slammed the church's leadership for allegedly converting their noble fellowship into a campaign platform with politics taking center stage.Ruto who had taken his campaigns to the area perceived to be under the stranglehold of the National Super Alliance (Nasa) did not hesitate to take a swipe at the opposition outfit whom he accused of using delay tactics to evade the impending October 17 repeat presidential polls. The former Eldoret North MP also faulted the Supreme Court for what he termed as making decisions for the Kenyan voter.
