Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader Isaac Rutto has slammed Deputy president William Ruto after he coined a new name for the party.

Ruto dismissed the party as one that had no agenda for the people of South Rift, by branding it 'Chama Cha Mashimoni (holes)'.

According to Ruto, Jubilee party, in which he is the deputy leader, was popular not only in South Rift, but entire Rift Valley region, and that Rutto should brace to go home with his party.

The two were good political friends, before Rutto decamped Ruto's URP party, after it merged to Jubilee party, and later formed CCM.

However, the Bomet governor warned Ruto against hurling insults to fellow leaders who were opposed to his leadership, saying Kenya was a democratic county.

"Tell him to stop insulting others. Leaders should respect others. If he thinks Chama Cha Mashinani is nothing to Jubilee, he should concentrate on Jubilee affairs. Why should he call us Chama Cha Mashimoni? He should learn to respect others,'' Rutto said Sunday.

Speaking in his Bomet County, Rutto indicated that his party would support any other, that has same agenda, of serving the people according to actions.
