Narok Governor Samuel Tunai has warned his Bomet counterpart against infiltrating his territory claiming that the region remains firmly in Jubilee government.
Keen to inherit the South Rift counties of Narok, Bomet and Kericho from DP William Ruto, the outspoken Bomet Governor is scheduled to unveil his CCM’s working relationship with opposition outfit NASA on Saturday.
But on Friday at Narok West, Tunai maintained that the region would remain in Jubilee despite resistance from a section of local leaders.
“We voted for Raila Odinga in 2007 and he didn’t make it. CCM should know his tricks and avoid misleading our people,” he said.
Tunai added: “I respect Governor Rutto but he should know the boundaries of Narok and Bomet. If he doesn’t want to hear that, I am ready to show him the boundaries.”
And his bad working relationship with his Bomet counterpart could be as a result of Rutto’s close working relationship with Tonui’s rival Patrick Ole Ntutu.
Mr. Rutto, Ntutu and Johanna Ng’eno of Emurua Dikir have been leading onslaught against Jubilee regime in South Rift region.
