Bomet governor Isaac Rutto has refuted rumours doing rounds on social media purporting that he will not seek re-election in August 8, polls.
Speaking during a talk show in one of the local radio station, Friday, Ruto linked his political detractors for being behind the reports, saying they had sensed losing.
He made it clear he would be defending his seat under his Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party's ticket, and expressed confidence he would beat his rival, Joyce Laboso who will be vying on a Jubilee ticket.
Rutto joined the National Super Alliance (Nasa) as the fifth principal. Other principals include Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wtangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
